The first International Exhibition of Ethical Coaches and Associated Professions (SICEMA) opened in Abidjan this Thursday, February 02, 2023 around the theme: Ethical Coaching, a factor of development. On the initiative of the firm Coaching Ethique and the International Network of Ethical Coaches (RICE), this exhibition which will bring together for three days (from February 02 to 04) players in the sector and the general public aims to provide solutions to the real need on the one hand, the standardization and structuring of the coaching profession on the other.
The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Ministry for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration and Civic Service, Assui Anderson, on behalf of Minister Touré Mamadou indicated during the opening: “Business Angel” strengthens the mechanisms of the ministry in charge existing youth organizations through its Entrepreneurship Program, in which coaching sessions are important activities to support and enable young people to succeed in the various projects requested.
According to him, today’s platform, which brings together coaching players, young people and institutional structures, is therefore part of the dynamic initiated within the ministerial department for the Promotion of Youth, Professional Integration and Civic.
”Through your “Ethical Coaching School” program, you have chosen to accentuate your coaching activities on professional ethics. This great initiative reinforces the Government’s actions in terms of ethics and professional conduct, including the training of 5,696 new civil servants in 2022, at the National School of Administration, on the ethics and professional conduct of the Public Service, before their assumption of duty; the establishment of a code of ethics and professional conduct in certain public administration services such as the Public Treasury; the establishment of the ethics charter for public actors in public procurement by the National Authority for the Regulation of Public Procurement; the organization of awareness campaigns for students in 256 establishments for the respect of good citizenship in the school environment.”, he listed.
According to the representative of the Minister Touré Mamadou, it is therefore in perfect coherence with the efforts of the technical Ministries that the professional ethical coaches will be able to bring their expertise in various fields. ”Your initiative, which is commendable and innovative, will therefore be able to contribute to a more responsible citizenship by promoting the moral values of integrity, loyalty, professional conscience, respect, solidarity and fraternity.”, a- he confided.
Long before, Jean-François Yoman, general commissioner of the International Exhibition of Ethical Coaches and Associated Professions indicated that the development of this profession in terms of its contribution to the construction of an upright and strong Côte d’Ivoire through the synergy of the collective intelligence of his sons and daughters. According to him, coaching is a healthy and appropriate alternative to professional integration. This show will be furnished with panels, round tables and a gala which will mark the end of this first edition.
