In a statement to the press at the University Hospital of Batna where he went with the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and the Status of Women, Kaouthar Krikou, to inquire about the state of health of teacher Rayhana Benchia, stabbed in the back on Wednesday by a fourth-year student at the school, Abdelhakim Belaabed assured that the State, through its ministerial department, is making every effort to ensure the necessary security for the school. all professionals in the sector.
“My personal trip to inquire about the health of the teacher aims to show the support of the Algerian state and my ministerial department and provide her with the necessary moral support,” he continued. The Minister of National Education also indicated that he had spoken with the teacher and inquired about her state of health which, he said, gave rise to optimism after her treatment by the medical staff of the University Hospital of Batna.
Claiming to have ordered the opening of an investigation into the circumstances of the attack suffered by the Arabic language teacher at the CEM Amari-Saïd in Taxlent to establish responsibilities.
“After the results of the investigation, we will not hesitate to take the necessary sanctions and apply the law against all those whose responsibility is established in this tragic incident”, added Abdelhakim Belaabed. On the very day of the attack, a press release from the public prosecutor at the court of N’gaous, attached to the Court of Justice of Batna, announced the arrest of the minor, presumed author of the attack with a knife against the teacher in the commune of Taxlent, wilaya of Batna.

H, an average fourth-year student at the same establishment where she practices,” reads this press release.
Around ten o’clock, the same source said, the victim received the student’s father, summoned to talk to him about the student’s behavior.
Around noon, during the class break, while the teacher was standing in front of her desk, the boy stabbed her in the back, before fleeing.
