LEGNANO, 12 January 2023-The pupils of the schools of the Altomilanese area compete on the most beautiful Cross Country course in the world. On Saturday 14 January in San Vittore Olona over a thousand middle and high school students are expected at the 27th edition of the Student Cinque Mulinipromoted event by the San Vittore Olona 1906 ASD Sports Union with the support of Bcc of Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate, to promote sporting activity and good fair play practices in various contexts, including through meetings between children and athletes organized over the years in schools. The “Amici dello Sport Trophy” and the well-established “Professors’ competition” were also confirmed on the same day. From 9, in the suggestive area of the “vallo”, in via Valloggia in San Vittore Olona, young people will “battle” in what has become a sporting event with a great tradition, capable of uniting girls and boys, sport, great champions of today and yesterday of cross-country running and which, once again is characterized by the hashtag #runbreathedream.
As always, the involvement and enthusiasm of all the participants is great, since the competitions will take place on the same tracks where, the following day, the great champions who will take part in the international competitions of the 91st Cinque Mulini will race.
After the uncertain years of the pandemic, 2023 is the year of the return to great participation: 15 first and second grade secondary schools who have confirmed their participation and who will bring more than a thousand boys and girls to challenge each other in various competitions. As in previous years, there will also be friends of the “Friends of Sport Trophy”, over the distance of 200 metres, dedicated to people with disabilities as well as the hard-fought and very popular “Professors’ competition”.
High schools will participate in the Cinque Mulini Studentesca: ISIS Bernocchi of Legnano, the Carlo Dell’Acqua high school of Legnano, the Daniele Crespi high school of Busto Arsizio, the ITET Maggiolini of Parabiago, the Galilei high school of Legnano, the Tirinnanzi high school of Legnano and the higher education Gregorio Mendel of Villa Cortese. For lower secondary schools, they will compete: the Barbara Melzi institute in Legnano, the San Massimiliano Kolbe secondary school in Legnano, the ICS Carducci in San Vittore Olona, the ICS Strobino in Cerro Maggiore, the ICS Bonvesin De La Riva in Legnano, the lower secondary school grade IC Nerviano, the IS via dei Salici di Legnano and the IC of Inverigo.
The program: the second level secondary schools will kick off the 27th edition of the Cinque Mulini Studentesca at 9. For the 17th “Amici dello Sport Trophy” the departure is scheduled at 10.30, immediately after the start of the sixth “Professors’ competition”. At 10.45 it will be the turn of the lower secondary schools. The start and finish of all the races are scheduled in the “vallo” area, in via Valloggia in San Vittore Olona.
New this year, all the tests will be broadcast live on ONE TV, on digital terrestrial channel 79.
