Why is the series called ‘The Glory’?
At the press conference, the creator of the script told how she found the name of the series. This is due to the fact that when producing it, she investigated the messages of victims of school violence that asked for sincere apologies, instead of money.
“I was wondering, in this harsh world, what do you gain from an apology? I understood that it is not about winning something, but about getting it back. When you are in the moment of violence, you lose immaterial things like dignity, honor and glory. Getting that apology is the way to get back to square one,” Kim Eun Sook explained.
