Intercultura competition: participate and live a study experience abroad

Milan, 10 January 2023 _ Last days to participate in the Intercultura competition and live a study experience abroad from summer 2023 thanks to a scholarship: almost 90 still available. For high school students, the day to be circled in red on the calendar is that of 20 January 2023, the day on which registrations will close. With summer programs Intercultura offers 4-week stays that can take place either in a school residence or with the more classic hospitality in a family. Destinations: Argentina, Canada, Denmark, Japan, Ireland, United Kingdom, Spain, Tunisia. Enrollment, generally open to students born between 1 June 2004 and 31 July 2008, is not binding and allows you to begin taking the test and interview necessary to participate. TOsome of scholarships are made available to deserving students residing in various Italian municipalities thanks to the support of Institutions and Companies locals:

○ Banca Prealpi SanBiagio Cooperative Credit: a grant for a summer program for students enrolled in the Intercultural competition at the local center of Conegliano (TV). www.intercultura.it/banca-prealpi-sanbiagio

○ Municipality of Baceno (VB): a scholarship for a summer program aimed at deserving students residing in the Municipality of Baceno www.intercultura.it/comune-baceno-estate/

○ Municipality of Besnate (VA): a scholarship for a summer program aimed at deserving students residing in the Municipality of Besnate. www.intercultura.it/comune-besnate

○ Municipality of Cavarzere (VE): a scholarship for a summer program for deserving students residing in the Municipality of Cavarzere. www.intercultura.it/comune-cavarzere

○ Municipality of Collecchio (PR): a scholarship for a summer program for deserving students residing in the Municipality of Collecchio. www.intercultura.it/comune-collecchio

○ Municipality of Malnate (VA): two scholarships for a summer program for deserving students residing in the Municipality of Malnate, with an average school average in the last 2 years (2020-2021 and 2021-2022) of no less than 7, who have not received insufficient grades in the first evaluation of the current year and with an ISEE not exceeding 32,000 euros. www.intercultura.it/comune-malnate

The programs offered are: 2 annual programs in Argentina and Hungary, 2 quarterly programs in Brazil and the Philippines, 15 summer programs in Denmark, Ireland (various destinations), the United Kingdom (Wales), Spain and Tunisia. www.intercultura.it/gruppo-poste-italiane

Adolescents interested in participating in the programs abroad offered by Intercultura can count on the experience and solidity of those who have been organizing exchanges all over the world for over 65 years, offering support and assistance to families and students even in managing the most unexpected situations before , during and after the stay abroad. The educational project that Intercultura proposes to young people aims to make them live an experience of profound individual growth where the student will not limit himself to learning a foreign language, but thanks to the path proposed by the volunteers of the Association before, during and after the stay at the abroad also develop fundamental skills for one’s own future. Intercultura certifies the entire process followed by the student with a certificate to be presented at school. 5,500 volunteers from the Association follow the experience of the young people and their families step by step, helping them to prepare for the experience and assisting them during their stay abroad and when they return to Italy.

AN OPPORTUNITY EVEN FOR FAMILIES: TO WELCOME A STUDENT

Getting involved is not just a matter for kids. With Interculture families also have the opportunity to participate in a cultural exchange, an experience that means dealing with different lifestyles, mentalities and cultures. In recent weeks, Intercultura volunteers throughout Italy are searching and selecting families interested in welcoming a boy or girl from another country: over 500 young people from all over the world will arrive in Italy from the beginning of September 2023 for a two-month, quarter, a semester or an entire school year.
