On Wednesday January 18, the Germaine Tillion public school took part in the departmental school chess championship which took place at the Beaumanoir college in Ploërmel. The school was the most represented establishment ahead of the Jean de la Fontaine de Gourhel school with 29 registered out of 59 participants! The children played 5 rounds and each received a participation medal. We can underline the result of Sergueï, pupil in class of CM1 with Mrs Le Lan who finishes 7th of the tournament for his first participation and the two youngest players of the tournament, Ezan and Ilan, who were Beignonnais! The aim of this tournament was to qualify for the regional championship of Lannion and it was the school of Gourhel which was selected. Remember that she already participated last year, even qualifying for the French championship. The students of Beignon fair-play wish them the same success!
