Both for their professional and human qualities, I’m sure they will be able to be of great help to the Hospital and to the School of Specialization, of which they are the first two excellent fruits».

The comments of the two new specialists were positive: “It’s the best job in the world. You deal with patients in a global way, in every context and for every pathology – explains Dr. Federica – not to mention that the emergency and urgency increase the charm of our mission”. «It is an extremely varied job – adds Dr. Roberto – which calls you to save lives or at least to formulate the first diagnosis for each patient who goes to the Emergency Department».

The two specialists enrolled in the first year of the new training course at the University of Varese in 2018. The school specializing in emergency and urgency today has about forty trainees distributed over the various years: by the end of 2023, the specialization of 4 other doctors, while another 18 neo-specialists will arrive in 2025.

The enthusiasm of the two new specialists collides, however, with a different reality: this year 50% of scholarships in emergency and urgency medicine have not been awarded and Varese is also following this trend how has confirmed the President of the School of Medicine and Surgery Alberto Passi.
