Online enrollment at school 2023, what is needed to send the application?

From 8:00 on 9 January to 20:00 on 30 January 2023 you can proceed with online registrations at first classes of the primary schools, medium and superiorfor the school year 2023-2024. How to do? What is the documentation required to carry out the online question? Let’s see it together.

Also this year the procedure for sending the application is complete online to subscribe to all first classes of primary and secondary schools of first and second grade. As reported on the Ministry’s website, then, “online enrollments will also concern vocational education and training courses provided under the subsidiarity regime by professional institutes and vocational training centers accredited by the Regions and private schools which, on a voluntary basis, will adhere to the online procedure”.

The application, however, remains on paper for kindergarten.

Online enrollment at school 2023: preliminary information

As we said: it will be possible to send the application form to the first grades of primary, middle and high schools from 9 to 30 January 2023.

The procedure is onlineso you need to first have a computer and an internet connection. If this provision is not available, specific support will be offered by the recipient schools of the application. Alternatively, where necessary, the sending schools will also be able to offer the same type of support for sending the application.

It can be presented through the appropriate portal Online registrations, only one application form for each student. You will still be allowed to indicate a second and a third schoolwhich however will only be taken into consideration if the school chosen first has no places available for the 2023/2024 school year.

It will not be necessary to use the online procedure either for enrollment in intermediate classes or for enrollment in kindergarten, with the exception of special cases.

Now let’s move on to the practical side: what do you need to send the application?

It is required to access the service a of the following digital identities of the parent:

1. SPID (Public Digital Identity System).

2. THERE IS (Electronic identity card).

3. eIDAS (electronic IDentification Authentication and Signature).

To complete the application, you must also know the mechanical code of the chosen school or vocational training centre. It is an alphanumeric string of 10 characters (the first two of which indicate the province of location) which uniquely identifies the schools and institutes in Italy. Application form: the data to be entered

The question, on the portal Online registrations of the Ministry of Education and Merit, asks to fill in four sections. Let’s see what they consist of and what is required in each of them.

1. The student’s datain particular the personal data and residence.

2. Family data. In this case it will be necessary to confirm and/or integrate some information (telephone, email, residence and domicile) of the parent or person exercising parental authority who is submitting the application. Indications must then be given on the choice of teaching the Catholic religion and on the data relating to any disabilities.

3. School data: it is necessary to choose, in order of priority, the schools or vocational training centers to which to address the application. This step requires the mechanical code identifier of the receiving school. Furthermore, the mechanistic code of the school of origin is required, even if not mandatory.

4. View the preview, check the data entered and submit the application. Warning: check carefully before submitting: once the application has been submitted, no changes can be made. The only way to intervene will be to contact the recipient school directly, which will be able to return the application through the portal.

The sections of the application may be completed at different times. You will then be given the opportunity to save the data entered and then return to the page at a later time.
