Several meetings on the FCP youth program with in particular the U 17 and U 18 in the Occitanie cup. The seniors resume competition next weekend.

First gathering of the year around the round ball at FC Pamiers. It was organized on Wednesday January 4 by the Ariège district at the Châtaigneraie sports complex. About thirty U 13 players have put on their cleats again, including many Appameans who have been called up to take part in meetings and the static juggling workshop. “Thank you to the management represented by Stéphane, Raphaël, Thierry, Bruno, Bastien who accompanied the youth teams. Warm thanks to the FCP, the city of Pamiers and its services for the provision of sports facilities and the impeccable welcome which made it possible to organize this first gathering of the year 2023 in the best conditions” indicates the district of Ariège which has already planned other highlights in Pamiers and on other sites in the department. The football school returned to the lawns this week with the U 13s, but also the U 16s who were in a friendly match against Carcassonne before hosting the leader Alès on Sunday 15/01. Most of FC Pamiers’ hopeful formations are back on the pitch today and tomorrow with in particular two meetings in the Occitanie cup for the U 17 and U 18 who will play this afternoon in the round of 16 of the competition with two beautiful posters in perspective. The mission seems playable for the U 17 who travel to FC Montpezat in Puylaroque in the Tarn et Garonne with a good chance to defend (3 p.m.). It seems more difficult for the U 18s who receive the solid formation of Colomiers on the main ground of the Châtaigneraie (3:45 p.m.). But in a cup match everything is possible. Note also that the next draws for the young Occitanie cup (16th and 8th) for the categories U 15, U 17, U 18 and 15 F will be made on Thursday January 12 from 2 p.m. at the administrative and technical headquarters of Castelmaurou. The draws will be made live on the official Facebook page of the Occitanie football league. For the senior pennant team, already qualified in the round of 16 of this event, the designated opponent will be known next week. The meetings will be scheduled for January 28 and 29, dates when the regional championship takes a break for seniors. Let’s go back to the FCP football school. Other meetings are planned with the U 14 territory which welcome Auterive today to the Chataigneraie while the U 14 regional level go tomorrow to Muret. For the other categories, we are also going to hit the nail on the head, especially with the U 10s who are on the set this morning at Pamiers and Muret. The U 11, U 12 and U 13 are opposed to Auterive, the Pays basse-Ariège agreement and Coussa. In short, the whole football school is already on deck. For the seniors, training resumed on Tuesday and is doubling in intensity before a return to the championship and to routine operations next weekend.
