The Territorial Delegate for Development, Articulation of the Territory and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía in Málaga, Carmen Casero, has held a working meeting today with the President of the Official College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Málaga, Leonor Muñoz, to take stock on the situation in Malaga of the Eco-Housing Plan aid for the energy rehabilitation of homes and buildings for residential use in our Community, from the Next Generation Funds of the European Union.
The Official Association of Quantity Surveyors, as an entity that represents one of the professional groups most directly involved in the energy rehabilitation process in the residential area, has taken advantage of this meeting to express to the Delegate its commitment to the objectives of rehabilitation and improvement of the energy efficiency of the building stock, highlighting the numerous actions that, since the approval of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, has been carried out for the dissemination of the different aid programs, convened last October by the Junta de Andalucía , through various lines of the Eco-Housing Plan.
The person in charge of Development and Housing has valued very positively the effort that the Association of Quantity Surveyors of Malaga has been making, together with the other seven Andalusian associations of the union, for the development of an extensive free training program for its members, which has more than sixty planned activities, including courses, conferences, seminars, etc., and that only in the last quarter of 2022 has already offered almost 400 teaching hours of training. The objective of this Plan, financed by the Andalusian Council of Associations of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects, as indicated by the Secretary of said institution and of the Association, José Antonio Conde, is to reinforce the training of the professional group in general aspects of the different lines of help, consolidate technical knowledge in the field of energy rehabilitation, or deepen the management of tools for the certification of energy efficiency and the book of the existing building, among others.
The Association of Quantity Surveyors has made available to the Head of the Rehabilitation and Architecture Service of the Development Delegation in Malaga, Antonia Díaz, all the resources available to her at the level of specialized training in energy rehabilitation, offering the possibility of That the civil servants of your department cover the needs that, where appropriate, you may have in this regard.
Both entities have agreed to establish a more fluid line of communication between the technical staff of the Board and that of the College, in order to provide better service to citizens, companies and neighboring communities that are interested in the processing of this type of aid. which can reach up to 80% of the investment in rehabilitation works and reforms that improve the energy efficiency of homes and buildings. As the representatives of both institutions have recalled, these actions can mean very significant savings in the electricity bill of families, and entail significant improvements in the comfort of homes and in the quality of life of its inhabitants, also supporting the environment thanks to the reduction in the emission of greenhouse gases.
